Wellness ~ Food ~ Redesigned

My name is Lorelei Storm, and thank you for stopping by!


Every journey has a beginning. 


My diagnosis of C-PTSD, ADHD, Raynauds syndrome and hEDS (Ehlers Danos Syndrome) took years to nail down.  Starting with migraines at age 11, life just seemed to be a journey of pain, confusion and depression. 


After decades of thinking I was crazy could be helped with the nutrition changes. Lets be realistic here, the inflammation of 55+ years, 16 years of cognitive behavioural therapy and every doctor I saw handing me jars of pills did take a toll. Here's the good news! Cells regenerate, gut systems may be changed, and the brain in your gut tells the brain upstairs how to manage the body.


If you start looking at how all your health elements work together, you will drown in the abundance of information. And what's really true?  It was time to go to university at age 50 and go on a quest for truth. I wanted to understand neurology, psychology, and the impact of the gut and brain on what's really driving my health. How do my PTSD and neurodiverse brain factor in with nutrition? A deep dive into neurobiology, psychology and nutrition opened my eyes wide open. Seven years of education later, here I am, past the mid-life crisis of what to do now.. ready to share the Practical Knowledge with you.


I was sick of medication trials from doctors who never mention food or ask about your lifestyle or allergies. Is it just me, or shouldn't you be treated as a WHOLE person? How many medications have you been prescribed to combat inflammation or told you to have IBS? (and you need some more medications) Have they explained how you could improve your IBS or recommended a nutritionist? Does Fybromyalgia act up with certain foods? 


We are all unique, and no wellness plan works for everyone.  I wanted to make a difference, take control of my health and thoughts, and live without a box full of little yellow bottles with tiny chemical pills. So here we are - learning to eat right, understanding the gut biome and how it's all a spiral maze of little critters who want to be fed. And IF you feed them well, they will, in turn, work with your neurodiverse brain,


As Hippocrates said, "food is medicine"!  


Your cells, mental health, and brain health can be renewed places of optimal health. I hope you are inspired to see how the small changes make the biggest differences.
